The process

Cutting

We use several different ways to cut the steel sections into the desired length before fabricating them. Equipment and techniques used include circular saws, plasma cutting, and flame cutting.

Welding

Welding is the process of using high heat to melt the parent material with the component being attached to it. When the weld pool cools and solidifies, the two are fused to form a strong and durable joint. Welding is used to attaching fixtures and fittings as well as for the installation of the components on the site.

Shot blasting

The shot blasting process is used to prepare the steel sections for fabrication. Shot blasting makes the sections easy to weld and also roughens up the smooth surfaces so that when painted, the paint holds on better and stays longer

Coating

At the end of the fabrication process, coatings are applied to the steel. The purpose of the coating is many – coatings protect against corrosion and fire damage, improve the aesthetics, and provide a custom look for the components if requested by the architect

Bending

Many of the fabricated components requires that the steel elements be bent. Our professionals are experts in various rolling and bending techniques to create the right level of curve to create beautifully curved components. Techniques commonly used in this process are bending rolls and press breaking.
